HOSTESSES: We are so excited that you are thinking about being a hostess this year at the Christmas Tea. It will be held at The River Club in Mequon on December 4th. The morning tea begins at 9:00am and the evening tea at 6:00pm. Here is some information we hope you will find useful: The tables are 72 inches across and seat 10.
1. Set-Up Details:
Breakfast Tea (Wednesday, December 3): Set-up is from 5:00–7:00pm (please note, we cannot go beyond 7:00pm).
Dinner Tea (Thursday, December 4): Set-up is from 3:00–5:00pm. If you are also hosting in the morning, you may reset your table right after the morning event.
If your table is not being used for breakfast and you are only hosting for the evening, we kindly ask that you decorate your table on Wednesday night so that the breakfast attendees can also enjoy your beautifully decorated table. Final set-up times will be confirmed once registration closes.
2. Please do not have any decorations higher than 18 inches so all may see the speaker.
3. The Connection Team has a gift for each guest. Please do not bring additional gifts for your guests to the tea. We would like each guest to feel equally loved.
4. There will be name tags at your table for you to fill out for your guests.
5. Feel free to bring anything you want to decorate your table keeping in mind the height restriction. All silverware, china, glassware, white napkins and white tablecloths are provided by the River Club. Feel free to bring runners, place-mats, chargers or anything else that would make your table festive. Open flame candles are allowed but they have to be covered in glass that is higher than the flame and something below it to catch the dripping wax. Your table can be as simple or as elegant as you'd like. You can leave any chargers on the table and they will put their plates on top of them.
6. You will need to sign up and pay for yourself. Registration for hostesses opens October 5 at 1:00pm. If you have friends that want to be at your table, they can sign up on October 12 starting at 1:00pm.
7. If you would like to sign up for your friends ahead of time and are willing to pay for them, you will receive a link in an email after you register as a hostess that will give you access to the general registration page before it goes public. You do not need to fill your table. There are lots of ladies who do not request a specific hostess and we will be happy to place them at your table.
8. Valet parking will be available if desired.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Michele Miller at: mmiller90@wi.rr.com or (262) 844-0663.
Please join us in praying for this event and for our speaker, Katie Kusilek. This is a wonderful opportunity for your friends, family, and others to hear the precious gospel message.
With much love, The Connection Team
